Do you plan to one day start a business on the rez? I currently have a few clients on the Navajo Nation. The professional services I provide give flexibility to work on and off the reservation.

If you were to start a business what would it be? With the business I have, I help owners of privately held businesses identify financial solutions that will help them meet their objectives while mitigating risk. I want to specialize in helping my clients manage their wealth.

When did you take an interest in business?   I had an interest in business in my early childhood, maybe around age 3, but I did not pursue my interest until two years ago. Having worked in the medical science for a few years, I realized a greater need to address financial literacy and financial management practices within my community.

Goals you'd like to achieve this year?   This year I will complete the data entry for my genealogy project, reduce my financial liabilities & build my net worth, and have a consistent exercise schedule.   For my business I will pursue other markets, have better organization, and seek more education.

Next five years?   I want some stability in my life by having the financial resources to purchase & furnish a house, and having some specialists to make my business be more productive & efficient. In addition, I want to spend more time to help improve my community.

Do you plan on seeking more education?   Yes I do. I do not see myself taking my nose out of the books for about 6 years. I see education as a valuable tool to realized new perspectives, improve my under-standing, and accelerate my growth.

Who would you like to meet? My grandfathers; shichei died before I was born and shinálí died when I was about 3. Shichei was a uranium mine worker, and shinálí was a veterinarian; both grandfathers worked to improve the lives of their community and family, which I find very respectable. I would like to meet my grandfathers because I would like to learn their life experiences.

What Indian country leaders would you like to meet? Peterson Zah.

Last non-business books read: The Greatest Salesman in the World by Og Mandino.

Last business books read:   I read that concern Insurance, Finance, and Management.

Magazines frequently read:   I read most newspaper, but a few magazines I read are Fortune, and Financial Times.   Newspapers I regularly read are Albuquerque Journal, Arizona Republic, Farmington Daily Times, Gallup Independent, Navajo Times, Four Corners Business Journal, New Mexico Business Weekly, and REZ BIZ.

Did you vote in the last tribal election?   No.

When is the last time you've been to a chapter house meeting?   April 2005.

Do you chat on the Internet?   No.

Kind of car you'd like to drive?   Jeep Commander, Land Rover or Aston Martin Vanquish.

Where would you like to live?   The Big Apple's appealing; I find Chicago more desirable.

Do you think much is being done by your tribal leader to make things better on the Rez? I know my tribal leaders are faced with a difficult dilemma between progress within the community and preservation of traditional values. With my business and personal goals, I know more improvement is necessary; I hope my tribal leaders believe the same.
